Asked Monday night which Senate Republicans she would work with, Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren could only name Sen. Richard Lugar (R., Ind.) -- who lost his May primary and will not be in the Senate come January.
DAVID GREGORY: Can you name Republicans in the Senate today that you are able to work with on big issues, substantive issues that the country faces?
ELIZABETH WARREN: Probably Richard Lugar would be one that comes to mind.
GREGORY: Not going to be there.
WARREN: He’s not going to be there.
GREGORY: Who else can you name Senator?
WARREN: That is a problem. Let me answer the question slightly.
GREGORY: Let me ask the question. Are there any Republicans that will be in the Senate that you feel you can work with substantively and compromise with?
WARREN: It depends on what the subject matter is.
Warren debated Sen. Scott Brown (R., Mass.) for the second time Monday night.
