Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said on Wednesday that Rep. Joe Heck (R., Nev.) "has been a detriment to our country."
Heck is a Brigadier General in the U.S. Army Reserves who has served in active duty three times including one tour in Iraq. He is currently running for U.S. Senate against former Nevada attorney general Catherine Cortez Masto, a Reid ally.
Reid made the comments, which drew boos at the mention of Heck’s name, at a Wednesday dinner hosted by the Nevada Democratic Party. All three Democratic presidential candidates were in attendance.
