House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) celebrated Democrats regaining the majority in the House of Representatives by cheering for "more" pre-existing medical conditions.
"Today is more than about Democrats and Republicans. It's about restoring the Constitution's checks and balances to the Trump administration. It's about stopping the GOP and Mitch McConnell's assault on Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and the health care of 130 million Americans living with pre-existing medical conditions," Pelosi said. "Let's hear it more for pre-existing medical conditions."
She pumped her fist as she said it.
Pelosi is positioning herself to become the next Speaker of the House—she previously held the gavel from 2007 to 2011—amid growing resistance from fellow Democrats who want a new leader for the caucus.
With most of the 2018 midterm election results in, Republicans will keep the Senate and Democrats will take the House of Representatives.
