The head of a Native American tribe that has led the calls for the Washington Redskins to change their "offensive" team name decided to wear what critics are describing as "blackface" makeup for Halloween, the New York Post reports.

Terry Rambler, chairman of the San Carlos Apache Tribe in Arizona, decided to dress up as Bob Marley for Halloween—and he went all out.

Some Facebook users suggested that Rambler’s wearing the costume was hypocritical.

"That costume is definitely offensive to my people just like the name Redskins is offensive to your people," wrote one Facebook user.

"Natives out here trying to fight cultural appropriation and stereotypes but then our chairman is doing this? It’s 2015 get out of here with that #blackface. SMH," wrote another.

Despite the outrage on Facebook, Sen. Bernie Sanders decided to meet with Rambler on Wednesday.
