Great American Takes Stand Against Hillary Clinton from the Grave

Son: 'We know he's up there giggling about it right now'

In Concord, North Carolina, one American family does not want your flowers at their funeral: They want your vote.

Larry Darrell Upright’s obituary requested that friends and family not vote for Hillary Clinton as a final request from his family, who thought Upright would appreciate the gesture.

"The family respectfully asks that you do not vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016," the obituary read.

"Diehard Republican" Upright was 81 years old when he passed away Monday.

His family explained that Upright, a fervent consumer of TV news, instilled his political values on to the rest of the family.

"He was very passionate about politics and probably passed a little of that on, so it was natural for me to think about that," Jill McClain, his daughter, said.

"It’s a free country and what we did was right for us," McClain said.

The family gave Upright one final opportunity to take a jab at Clinton supporters.

"Now he’s finally getting his things said," Colleen Upright, Larry’s wife, said.

The family said they believe Upright would be thrilled by the message his family sent for his final chapter.

"We know he’s up there giggling about it right now."
