Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) cleared the room of John Brennan's confirmation hearing Thursday after Code Pink protesters repeatedly interrupted the proceedings.

The response is a departure from that of Secretary of State John Kerry, who applauded the Code Pink protesters at his confirmation hearing last month, saying he "respects" the woman who shouted her views.

Code Pink protesters notably did not interrupt the confirmation hearing of defense secretary nominee Chuck Hagel.
