Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump confirmed Friday that he has named Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.
Trump confirmed the decision on social media after reports indicated that he had chosen Pence and said that he will hold a news conference Saturday morning at 11 a.m.

Trump initially planned to hold an event with his vice presidential pick on Friday, but cancelled his plans following the terror attack in Nice, France, that killed more than 80 people, including two Americans.
Reports indicated earlier in the week that Trump had narrowed down his running mate search to Pence, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
