The conservative America Rising PAC traveled to congressional Democrats' campaign headquarters on Thursday to drop off bread crumbs, a stunt aimed at drawing attention to comments by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi that wage increases and bonuses resulting from Republican tax cuts amounted to "crumbs" and were "pathetic."
"$1,000 may be ‘crumbs' to Nancy Pelosi but it makes a difference in the pockets of American families," said Alexandra Smith, the group's executive director, who posted pictures of the crumbs on Twitter. "She once again showed she is completely out-of-touch with hard-working Americans."

Pelosi doubled down on her decision to belittle the financial benefits of tax reform on Thursday when she decided to again make the "crumb" comparison.
"There's a cartoon that I just love," Pelosi said during a Florida town hall meeting. "There's a little mouse trap who's got a little piece of cheese on there, and there's a mouse about to take it and that's called the middle class … and around it are fat cats."
"And that’s the thing," Pelosi continued. "You get this little thing and we get this big bonanza. You get the crumb, we get the banquet."
