Former President Bill Clinton travelled to Morocco to tout the efforts the Clinton Global Initiative has made in the area.
In a lavish conference, Clinton laughed off a question from one of the panelists as to why the media is consistently covering the donations that foreign governments have made to the foundation.
The panelist said he had travelled to the United States and was shocked that the media was covering the attacks against the foundation. The panelist also said he was confused on why he did not see anyone from the foundation to go on to the news shows to address the allegations against the foundation.
The panelist then asked Clinton what the money was actually being spent on.
"I just work here—I don’t know," Clinton said, laughing through his answer.
Clinton went on to say that there is one set of rules for politics in America and another set for real life and that "you just have to deal with it."
The panelist argued with the former president by saying that Clinton’s comments did not apply because the newspapers are respectable sources. Clinton stammered a bit before moving onto another subject.
