Medal of Honor recipient Kyle Carpenter opened the 2014 Marine Corps Marathon and helped set a new world record by joining a team to skydive into the event with a massive American flag. The American hero, who saved a fellow Marine's life by diving on an enemy grenade in 2010, then ran the marathon in just over five hours.
