House Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio) called on the Obama administration to release all emails that relate to the Sept. 11, 2012 Benghazi terrorist attacks Thursday morning.
Releasing the emails from the White House and State Department that insisted on changing the talking points would be President Obama's "chance to show his cooperation so that we can get to the truth of what happened in Benghazi," Boehner said at Thursday's press conference.
"Four Americans lost their lives in this terrorist attack. And Congress is going to continue to investigate this issue using all the resources at our disposal," the speaker told reporters.
Boehner also said that he and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) have refused to submit names to the president's Independent Payment Advisory Board, known as IPAB.
"This is the board with 15 unelected, unaccountable individuals who have the authority to deny seniors access to care," Boehner said. "The American people don't want the federal government making decisions that doctors and patients should be making."
