Navy Releases Footage of Tomahawk Missiles Launching Against ISIL in Syria

The U.S. Navy provided footage Tuesday of a U.S. guided-missile cruiser launching missiles at the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS or ISIL) targets in Syria.

The USS Philippine Sea launched Tomahawk Land-Attack missiles from the Persian Gulf.

Altogether the United States fired 47 missiles Monday night.

The USS Arleigh Burke also launched missiles from the Red Sea.

Tomahawk missiles are usually 18 feet long with 1,000-pound warheads.
