Rep. Ron DeSantis (R., Fla.) outlined his opposition to U.S. aid to Palestinians Monday night on Fox News, stating foreign aid was about furthering U.S. interests and those would be served by "standing by our ally, Israel."
"The Palestinians have consistently failed to do just the basic things you would need for peace in that region," he said. "Recognize Israel's right to exist, denounce terrorism, cut ties with Hamas. If they're not willing to do that, I don't think we should be sending taxpayer dollars over to the Palestinian authority."
