Boehner: 'No Reason' to Lift Iran Sanctions

'We’ve been down this road with Iran many times'

House Speaker John Boehner said the United States shouldn’t lift any sanctions on Iran until they stop "all development of their nuclear program."

During his weekly press conference on Thursday, Boehner said "there is no reason for us to lift" sanctions on Iran until it completely halts its nuclear program.

"We’ve been down this road with Iran many times," Boehner added.

The Obama administration has been seeking a deal that would temporarily relax some sanctions in exchange for Iran scaling back its uranium enrichment program.
