Actor Liam Neeson said in a Rolling Stone interview that his appearance last week on The View was "embarrassing" and "uncomfortable" due to over the top swooning by host Joy Behar.
While Neeson was on to discuss both his new film and political issues, the segment consisted almost entirely of Behar crushing on the Taken star. Fellow host Whoopi Goldberg told Behar, "You talk about him so much," while another cohost told Neeson, "Joy wants to get taken by you."
The show then played a compilation on all the times Behar has mentioned the actor, saying that Neeson's "kidnapping movies" make her "so aroused" and that she wants her "ashes spread over" him.
Neeson told Rolling Stone on Monday that the "embarrassing" View appearance was "BS" and left him feeling "uncomfortable."
Behar has criticized men who make women feel similarly uncomfortable. She said in 2019 that former Today Show cohost Billy Bush shouldn't return to work because he'd had a crude conversation about women with then-candidate Donald Trump. She also blasted other powerful men taken down by the MeToo movement, telling former CBS anchor Charlie Rose, "You're over, you're finished, put a fork in it."
