Left-wing talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who works for Walt Disney Company subsidiary ABC, implied Tuesday that he wants to see Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R., Ga.) slapped across the face.
"Wow, where is Will Smith when you really need him, huh?" Kimmel said. Smith slapped and screamed at comedian Chris Rock at the Academy Awards after Rock made a joke about Smith's wife.
Both Kimmel's audience and liberals on Twitter applauded the host's remark.
"Punch not slap!" wrote @DarrenWeinreich, while @NotSarah_Sarah, who calls herself a "liberal af early childhood educator," wrote, "I'm sure there's a long line."
This is only the latest scandal to rock the allegedly progressive Walt Disney Company.
ABC anchor Amy Robach said in 2019 that the network "quashed" her exclusive investigation into sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein two years before the Epstein scandal broke. A former ABC producer sued the network last year for sweeping her sexual assault claim against her ex-boss "under the rug." And dozens of Disney employees have been arrested for child sex crimes, the National Pulse reported on the same day as Kimmel's remark.
Disney has made the news recently for opposing widely popular Florida legislation that Democrats and the media have falsely called the "Don't Say Gay" bill. The law bans teaching kindergartners through third-graders about "sexual orientation or gender identity."
