BEASTMODE: Nick Sandmann: 'I Would Not Be Canceled'

Covington Catholic graduate Nicholas Sandmann said Tuesday at the Republican National Convention that he refused to be canceled by a biased media.

"I learned what was happening to me had a name. It was called being canceled," he said. "Canceled is what's happening to people around this country who refuse to be silenced by the far left. ... Often, the media is a willing participant. But I would not be canceled. I fought back hard to expose the media for what they did to me, and I won a personal victory."

Sandmann and his classmates were falsely accused in 2019 of harassing a Native American man on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial when misleading footage went viral on social media. Sandmann, donning a Make America Great Again hat, actually attempted to deescalate the situation, but liberals fueled by inaccurate reporting criticized Sandmann and the other boys as racists. For doing the right thing in a tense moment, Sandmann was a 2019 Free Beacon Man of the Year.
