MSNBC: White House Fail On Paris No-Show Was 'Amateur Hour'

The lack of US presence in Paris over the weekend didn't seem like a big deal to the White House at first, but quickly turned into a PR disaster. Press Secretary Josh Earnest admitted Monday that not sending someone with a higher profile was a mistake.

David Rothkopf, editor of the Foreign Policy, admitted that the oversight in optics was "amateur hour." The Obama Administration isn't known for it's good optics. On Tuesday President Obama made multiple appearances at the Federal Trade Commission that included jokes about the FTC saving the country from "caffeine laced undergarments."

The Obama Administration often does things without consulting it's allies in the way it should. The lack of an appearance at the march in France is just another example of this.
