In the initial weeks since "Megyn Kelly Today" joined the line of NBC "Today" shows, the franchise has taken a hit in morning show ratings.

A "Today" franchise insider told Page Six that Kelly’s 9 a.m. hour on NBC is down 32 percent compared to that same hour last year.

"Not only are ratings plummeting since Megyn Kelly joined the "Today" franchise, but the numbers show Kelly’s lead-in has also affected Kathie Lee [Gifford] and Hoda Kotb’s show, which follows straight afterwards," the source said.

"Kathie Lee & Hoda" is down 26 percent in ratings, which is a reflection of Kelly’s show, according to the insider.

"Too many people are tuning out NBC," the source said. "Hoda and Kathie Lee has been a bright spot in the morning. People are alarmed."

A second source told Page Six that "Today" talent is concerned Kelly’s show distracts from the franchise.

"The format for Megyn’s show doesn’t make sense," the second source said.

Another NBC insider said things actually aren’t bad for Kelly, and she received her "highest ratings yet in the key demographic on Monday."

"Everyone knows that ratings fluctuate at the start of a new show, and there has been nothing but support for Megyn from all of the 'Today’ show hosts," the NBC insider said. "They have each taken her out to lunch – Kathie Lee just took her to lunch today."
