Hume on Al Sharpton: 'Quite a Compliment to Call What He Was Doing a Newscast'

Megyn Kelly frightened by MSNBC host's volume

The normally dry Fox News political analyst Brit Hume couldn't contain his derision for the bombastic delivery of MSNBC host Al Sharpton Tuesday night, rolling his eyes after The Kelly File host Megyn Kelly played a clip of him reacting to the Supreme Court decision to uphold Michigan's ban on affirmative action.

The high-volume Sharpton tore into the decision Tuesday to open PoliticsNation, calling it a "devastating blow for equal opportunity" in his usual yelling style. Kelly appeared unfamiliar with Sharpton's way of delivering the "news," laughing as she opened the segment.

"Now I don't watch his show, but maybe he does every newscast that way, but boy oh boy," she said. "Ahhh! Run, Brit, run!"

"That's quite a compliment to call what he was doing a newscast, Megyn," Hume replied.
