Antares Rocket Explodes On Launch

An unmanned NASA Antares rocket exploded on its launch Tuesday evening at the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.

There are no reported deaths or injuries immediately following the explosion, and the cause of the accident remains unknown.

The rocket was intended to reach the International Space Station. Its cargo included equipment, food, and materials for scientific experiments.

According to NASA’s launch director, the cargo also included "classified crypto equipment" designated for secure communications.
