I’d like to submit ABC Sports director Andy Sidari for a posthumous nomination for a Washington Free Beacon Man of the Year award. Sidaris, who died in 2007, revolutionized  live sports broadcasts by pointing a camera into the crowd to feature telegenic fans during pauses in play. Live sports television would never be the same after the innovation of the "the honey shot."

The honey shot smoke sorority is an elite club and it inducted its newest member at this year's World Cup with Belgian fan Axelle Despiegelaere.

I guess the World Cup wasn't a total waste.

Axelle has taken the European media by storm as they've found a honey shot smoke to call their own. She looks like she'd fit right in at Arizona State University, a/k/a smoke finishing school.

Axelle could easily grace the pages of the legendary "Tempe 12" calendar.

This Cinderella tale gets even more charmed. Her home country hadn't even left Brazil before L’Oreal snagged her up for a modeling contract.

Since we're the nation that invented this honey shot hustle, all Axelle's catapult to stardom needs  is an intro from Brent Musburger. Remember when he brought Katherine Webb into all our homes?

Katherine Webb was able to flip her honey shot into selling burgers. Carl's Jr. is probably not as lucrative as pushing hair care products, but it was better money than Katherine's now- fiancé was making at the time playing in college.

Jenn Sterger wrote the playbook on leveraging ten seconds of fame into a payday.

Jenn is also a cautionary tale for Axelle: She needs to look out for lecherous athletes angling to send her pictures of their package.

However, Axelle's Facebook page has generated some controversy. There was a photo posted of her hunting game. She stood by her photo:

"Hunting is not a matter of life or death. It's much more important than that," she said on her Facebook page.

I think she'll be alright.
