Ronnie Abrams, a federal judge in Manhattan, stepped aside from all lawsuits she presided over that involved President Donald Trump and his businesses when her husband joined special counsel Robert Mueller's investigative team.
A spokesman from Mueller's office confirmed that Abrams' husband, former Justice Department prosecutor Greg Andres, had joined Mueller's team on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.
Abrams had previously presided over lawsuits that accused Trump of allowing his businesses accept money from foreign governments. She stepped aside when her husband was officially confirmed.
Mueller, a former FBI director, is special counsel leading the team investigating potential collusion between the Russian government and Trump's campaign team.
Trump's legal team continues to look into conflicts within Mueller's investigative team.
