ANCHOR: It’s 6:05 now. Police are trying to identify the vandals who damaged property during an Occupy Oakland protest Saturday night. Officers are going through surveillance video, trying to identify the people who smashed windows and spray-painted graffiti, during a protest against police. The vandals targeted businesses in Oakland’s City Center, which is next to Frank Ogawa Plaza. Investigators say the vandals caused thousands of dollars in damage. Police had scaled back the number of officers present during the protest, because recent anti-police marches had been peaceful.
