Six White House aides were dismissed on Thursday morning after they failed FBI background checks.

The staffers who were dismissed did not pass the SF86, a Questionnaire for National Security Positions to obtain a security clearance, Politico reported Thursday. The questionnaire asks individuals about various personal topics from substance use to credit score and determines whether the government employee is eligible for a security clearance.

Sources familiar with the situation told Politico that some of the individuals who failed the background check were "walked out of the building by security" on Wednesday before being formally dismissed the next morning.

President Trump’s director of scheduling, Caroline Wiles, was one of the staffers. She is the daughter of Susan Wiles, who directed Trump's presidential campaign in Florida.

Wiles resigned before the background check was complete and will reportedly take a job at the Treasury Department.
