Five people were arrested in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday for allegedly shooting at police officers, according to officials. No one was reported injured.
The suspects allegedly fired at police to resist arrest before locking themselves inside a vehicle. Police said the shooting was not a planned attack against officers, according to a Washington Post reporter.

Officers in marked police cars were responding to reports of gunshots just after midnight in southeast D.C. when the suspects fired at the patrol cars, according to a spokeswoman with the Metropolitan Police Department.
Police returned fire at the suspects, who barricaded themselves in their SUV during the standoff.
The three women and two men eventually surrendered to authorities after resisting for 30 minutes.
The incident comes after five police officers in Dallas, Texas were gunned down by a sniper Thursday evening following a peaceful protest on police-involved shootings.
