Former congressman Alan Grayson ran a red light Saturday and hit a bus, injuring two. Grayson had been traveling to a fundraiser for his congressional campaign in Orlando; actress Cheryl Hines and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. were among those in attendance at the fundraiser, WESH in Orlando reports.
ANCHOR: We were there moments after former local congressman Alan Grayson slammed his car into a Lynx bus. Orlando police say Grayson was driving his Mercedes on Orange Ave. when he ran a red light and ran into that bus on Livingston Ave. yesterday. Two people on the bus were injured and taken to the hospital; they are expected to be okay. Officers say Grayson was at fault and will be cited. Grayson was driving to a fundraiser for his new congressional campaign when the accident occurred.
