Politico Influence reports the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee will host its annual Florida event this weekend in Palm Beach, Fla. to introduce lawmakers and donors:
This weekend is a big one for lawmakers heading out of town to raise big bucks. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is hosting its annual Florida bash, looking to connect lawmakers with political contributors. The event in PalmBeach, Fla., is expected to draw several lawmakers, including Sens. Patty Murray (Wash.), Max Baucus (Mont.), Bernie Sanders (Vt.) and Debbie Stabenow (Mich.), among others. Not so coincidentally, the Senate is not voting on Monday. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-Nev.) spokesman Adam Jentleson denied that Monday votes were scrapped because of the Florida fundraiser.
