Heilemann: Money from Regimes That Treat Women Brutally Make Clinton 'Seem Like a Phony'

Hillary Clinton is struggling to preserve even a shred of accomplishment from her time in Foggy Bottom.

Clinton’s main achievement as Secretary of State was supposedly championing women’s rights around the globe.

"If you look at this list, what she achieved as Secretary of State, she did not do something big," the New Yorker’s John Heilemann said.

"She said, ‘I was a champion for you–look at the donations and women and girls.’ The UAE–these are brutally oppressive regimes to women and makes her seem like a phony. It takes away the bragging rights of being able to say she is a great champion of feminist causes around the world."

Clinton spoke at the Clinton Foundation on Monday but did not address the donations the foundation accepted from foreign governments with known  human rights violations. She has jetted around all week ignoring her email scandal, instead speaking at major events about equality for women.

Clinton will address reports that she exclusively used a private email address on of a private server later this week in a press conference.
