Israel has filed charges against three men allegedly caught in the Sinai Peninsula smuggling weapons material into the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip by boat, according to Israel Hayom.

The Israeli Navy intercepted the boat and they were smugglers arrested after the Israelis found materials used by Hamas to make rockets, according to the report.

Israel Hayom writes:

The Shin Bet said that during the investigation the three detained men provided substantial information about smuggling between Sinai and Gaza and about Hamas' use of fishermen and smugglers for its needs.

The investigation further revealed that the Hamas military wing smuggles consumer goods by sea as well, selling them at a profit to Gaza residents and using the money for its operations.
