There is some good news for Brian Williams as he goes through the most tumultuous time in his career--RPG attacks not included.
Bill Clinton is not around to keep bringing up his fibs.
Ironically, Williams covered Hillary Clinton’s false attack claims. During her 2008 campaign, Clinton was rebuked for lying about being shot at by a sniper while visiting Bosnia.
A video surfaced of Clinton’s trip, embarrassingly showing her smiling and talking with a little Bosnian girl. That is when Bill came to the rescue.
Even though coverage of the Clinton fib was dying down, Clinton spoke in defense of his wife, bringing back up the subject multiple times on the campaign trail. He said that his wife’s age might have played a part in the error while as she fought Barack Obama, a much younger and more energetic opponent in.
Time will tell how Brian Williams will handle the flap over lying about Iraqis shooting at his helicopter in 2003. He better steer clear of Bill Clinton.
