MSNBC: Hillary Clinton's Failure to Take Position on Keystone Will 'Haunt Her'

December 2, 2014

MSNBC report Alex Seitz-Wald spoke with Jose Diaz-Balart on the "dissonance" among Democrats following Hillary Clinton’s endorsement of Sen. Mary Landrieu (D., La.), who is a supporter of the Keystone XL Pipeline, and her speech at an anti-Keystone event.

"She gave a sweeping, pretty strong message on the environment." Seitz-Wald said.

"She said climate change was the most important issue facing the country today. She praised the president's record and said that his EPA regulations need to be defended at all costs."

But Clinton has been mum on Keystone, to the frustration of many Democrats.

"They think that she's gotten kind of a bad reputation on environment from some on the left," Seitz-Wald said. "But still nothing on Keystone. I think that's going to continue to haunt her."
