Sen. Scott Brown endorsed by Dem

Republican Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown received the endorsement Thursday of former Democratic state Rep. Paul Casey, who cited Brown’s bipartisan credentials and willingness to work across party lines as the reason for his endorsement.

Casey is the latest in a series of prominent Massachusetts Democrats to endorse Brown over his Democratic opponent Elizabeth Warren. Former Boston mayor Ray Flynn, former Worcester mayor Konnie Lukes, and Medford City Councilor Rick Caraviello have all crossed the aisle to endorse Brown.

Brown currently holds a 26-point lead over Warren among independent voters.

Warren favors proposing more than $1 trillion in new U.S. taxes and has taunted business owners with the sneering line "You built a factory? Good for you." Brown, meanwhile, has steadfastly supported the longstanding American system of free enterprise.
