The Washington Free Beacon’s Ellison Barber interviewed the American Center for Law and Justice’s David French Monday on the Environmental Protection Agency’s case before the Supreme Court. The case deals with the EPA’s recent regulations on greenhouse gas emissions from power plants and factories, and, if struck down, would deal a serious blow to President Obama’s proposed "year of action."
"This is a situation where the EPA is effectively rewriting the law to accomplish its objectives and is being called out for it before the Supreme Court," French said.
When Barber asked about the ruling’s implications for the Obama administration, French responded that a ruling against the EPA could severely limit the President’s regulations for the rest of his term.
"The practical implications are huge. Not just for this presidency but all the presidencies that follow," French said. "If President Obama’s administration is cut back by the Supreme Court this term, it will have strong implications for the rest of the President’s term."
