MSNBC panelist Zerlina Maxwell appeared to imply Gov. Chris Christie (R., N.J.) would, if he were President of the United States, use nuclear weapons against his political foes while criticizing him for his alleged role in the "Bridgegate" controversy.
Appearing on The Ed Show, Maxwell told host Ed Schultz that a Commander-in-Chief is in charge of the nuclear launch codes and "you can't have instances of political retribution":
ED SCHULTZ: This is rather arrogant. You can't help but wonder, if this is the way it operates, if he were to get more power, Zerlina, what he would really be like.
ZERLINA MAXWELL: Oh, it's terrifying. I think this completely makes him unfit for higher office. As Commander-in-Chief, you're in charge of the nuclear launch codes. You can't have instances of political retribution.
