White House press secretary Jay Carney said he is still unsure when President Obama will sign up for healthcare on the new exchanges Monday in the White House press conference.
In an almost verbatim response from two weeks ago, Carney said he had "no update" on the situation but offered his continued assurance the president will eventually sign up:
BRIANNA KEILAR: And has the president -- I know you've been asked about this, but it's been a couple weeks -- has the president signed up for insurance yet?
JAY CARNEY: I have no updates on that. The president will purchase insurance on the exchanges.
KEILAR: He doesn't have to do it. He --
CARNEY: He doesn't. Obviously, it's -- the enrollment's till March 31st. So when we have an update on it, we'll provide it to you. But our guidance on that has not changed.
KEILAR: And what exchange will it be? And also, will we get a chance to --
CARNEY: I just don't have any new information on that beyond what we've said in the past, which is that he will.
