The Washington Free Beacon’s Ellison Barber joined Fox News’ Power Play Tuesday to discuss Republican Gov. Chris Christie’s presidential chances in 2016 following his expected landslide victory in New Jersey’s governors race.

"The important thing is that [Christie’s race] is in a state that Republicans are not winning at the national level necessarily, so they’re incredibly important for that future trajectory" when determining a candidate’s electability as a presidential candidate, Barber said.

Barber noted that Christie "is right in saying that he has a better chance in general elections" than those closer identified with the conservative wing of the Republican Party.
