Israel Holds Flight Exercise Ahead of Iran Talks

The Israeli Air Force magazine released a video of F15’s and F16’s practicing mid-air refueling today, a move that comes only days before Iran is set to meet with the P5+1 nations – the five permanent members of the United Nations’ Security Council and Germany – to discuss the future of Iran’s nuclear program.

The video, which shows clips of both F15 and F16 planes practicing mid-air refueling, could be seen as a warning to Iran, as such operations are mainly used in long-distance aerial strikes. Israel has vowed to take action to prevent Iran from obtaining weapons-grade uranium.

Israel has cautioned the Obama administration against moving too quickly to improve it’s strained ties with Iran, and is afraid the U.S. will not follow Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s call for a complete shutdown of Iranian uranium enrichment.
