The public widely supports drone strikes against al Qaeda and other terrorists despite a seeming unease with drone strikes in Pakistan and other hot spots around the globe, reports the Wall Street Journal:
A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll out Wednesday found that 66 percent said they favored the use of unmanned aircraft to kill suspected members of al Qaeda and other terrorists, while only 16 percent said they were in opposition and 15 percent said they didn’t know enough to form an opinion.
The Obama administration has relied heavily on drone strikes to eradicate al Qaeda’s top leadership. President Barack Obama recently expressed his desire to limit drone strikes during a speech at the National Defense University.
