President Obama spoke about the "new realities" and "impressive progress" of what he called a "new Mexico" Friday in a Mexico City speech at the Museo Nacional de Antropología:
PRESIDENT OBAMA: It is true that there are Mexicans all across this country and who are making courageous sacrifices for the security of your country. In the countryside of neighborhoods not far from here they are struggling to give children a better life. But is also clear is that a new Mexico is emerging.
Unfortunately for the president, he seems to be about 100 years late. A Washington Free Beacon investigation reveals that in fact a "New Mexico" has already emerged, this one in 1912.
Should the president wish to visit the real New Mexico from his current location, the WFB staff would suggest flying.
