President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he would be happy to testify under oath before special counsel Robert Mueller.

Trump told reporters he "would love to" answer Mueller's interview questions, and he declared he would do so under oath, according to a recording at the White House. It was reported that Mueller's investigation was in talks with the White House about interviewing Trump, and he said he would prefer to do it soon.

"I would love to do it, and I would like to do it as soon as possible," Trump said.

Trump also reiterated that he did not collude with the Russians in the 2016 presidential election, nor did he obstruct justice in the course of the investigation.

"There's been no collusion whatsoever, there's no obstruction whatsoever, and I'm looking forward to it," he said.

One reporter asked if there was a date set for the interview, and Trump said he did not know but expected it to be in the next two or three weeks. He said he would still listen to his attorneys about how to proceed.

"I would love to do it—again I have to say, subject to my lawyers and all that," Trump said.

A reporter asked if he would do it under oath, and he replied by asking if Hillary Clinton testified under oath. When Clinton was being investigated for her use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state, she did not testify under oath.

"Did Hillary do it under oath?" he asked, while the reporter claimed not to know. "I'll give you an idea, she didn't do it under oath—but I would do it under oath."
