NYT Reporter Doesn't Know if She Works With Anyone Who Is Pro-Life

October 24, 2016

New York Times reporter Yamiche Alcindor could not answer MSNBC host Chris Matthews when he asked Monday night if she knew anyone at the paper who was pro-life.

"That's not a question I'm gonna answer," Alcindor said. "I have no idea."

Alcindor nervously laughed off the question with the rest of the Hardball panel. Matthews did not let her off easy, though, and continued to press her if she knew anyone who was pro-life, noting that she did not need to name names.

"I have not asked my coworkers that question, I should say," Alcindor said.

"That's cute," Matthews responded. "That's the way you make your point."

According to Alcindor's Twitter, she covers national politics and social justice issues.

Alcindor had asked Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) in June if it was sexist for him to keep running against Hillary Clinton even after it was clear he would not receive enough delegates for him to secure the presidential nomination for the Democratic Party.
