Karl: Obama W.H. ‘Entirely Unconcerned’ by Optics of Golfing During Crises

ABC’s Jon Karl reported Sunday that the Obama White House is "entirely unconcerned" about the optics of President Obama playing golf during the ongoing foreign policy crises.

"They are entirely unconcerned about it because their boss is entirely unconcerned about it. Even if they were [concerned] there isn’t anything they could do about it. He likes to get out and play golf. It was pretty remarkable, he got here [Martha’s Vineyard] and on the golf course in almost record time.  I think we were on the island about an hour by the time he was already hitting off the first tee," Karl said on Good Morning America.

Last year, former golf legend Tiger Woods said Obama had "amazing touch" around the greens.

"He hit the ball well and he’s got amazing touch. He can certainly chip and putt. After these four years, if he spends more time playing the game of golf I am sure he can actually get to where he is a pretty good stick," Woods said after playing with him.
