Hillary Clinton Again Refuses to Give Stance on Keystone Pipeline

July 27, 2015

Hillary Clinton again dodged a question about her stance on the Keystone XL pipeline during a campaign speech in Iowa on Monday.

After a speech about her renewable energy plan, Clinton took questions from the audience.

One question asked Clinton about her stance on the Keystone pipeline.

"I will refrain from commenting," Clinton said.

Clinton said she refuses to comment because as Secretary of State, she had a "leading role" in the State Department’s review process for the Keystone pipeline.

"I had a leading role in getting that process started. I think we have to let it run its course," Clinton said.

This isn’t the first time Clinton has declined to answer a question about the Keystone XL pipeline.
