Comments regarding the ‘stupidity of the American voter’ made by Jonathan Gruber "are stirring more controversy than ever," CBS' Jan Crawford of CBS said Thursday.
"[Gruber] was one of the most senior advisers helping to create the health care law," Crawford said. "And that's why people could not believe he said this."
Publicity of the video came at a bad time for Obamacare as it enters a second enrollment period following a botched first try, and is under review by the Supreme Court. Now, the administration has to deal with another issue.
"Put on the defensive once again,the administration and its allies say Gruber's remarks weren't just inappropriate but wrong," Crawford said.
