Rep. Kinzinger Blasts Russia: 'This Aggression Will Not Stand'

December 4, 2014

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R., Ill.) had a few harsh words for Russian president Vladimir Putin while speaking on the House floor Thursday.

"Russia’s continuing political, military, and economic aggression against Ukraine, as well as Georgia and Moldova, must be addressed," Kinzinger said. "In short, this aggression will not stand."

Kinzinger stressed the importance of the territorial integrity and sovereignty for the nations that have been pressured by Russia.

"The U.S., Europe, and our allies must keep the pressure up on Mr. Putin to encourage him to change his behavior," Kinzinger said.

Kinzinger is the sponsor of H. Res. 758, which formally condemns Russia for its military aggression and calls for the Russian Federation to remove its troops from Georgia, Moldova, and the Ukraine.
