The Marine Corps has sent additional forces to three embassies and has plans to do the same at five more embassies before the end of the fiscal year, the Commandant General Jim Amos said Wednesday.
Responding to questions from Sen Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) Amos said that the Marines are "on track" to add 1,000 personnel to embassies. He did not specify which embassies will receive the additional security.
