NBC's Andrea Mitchell: Obama Decision To Skip Paris Event 'Stunning' And 'Ham-Handed”

January 12, 2015

Media criticism continues to pile on the Obama administration for its no-show at the Paris rally against terrorism, which many world leaders attended.

NBC's Andrea Mitchell said that the lack of appearance was "stunning" and that Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu marched arm-in-arm with Palestinian President Abbas.

Mitchell went on to say that John Kerry's visit to France later this week is more damage control than diplomacy. The White House is still sticking to the story that having President Obama or Vice President Joe Biden and their security teams would interfere so drastically with protestors in the march.

Forty other world leaders were able to attend and march without having their security teams interfere with the march. No one, not even the media, is buying the White House's excuse.
