Actress Lena Dunham left a voicemail with House Speaker Paul Ryan on Monday complaining about Donald Trump's hiring of Breitbart News executive Steve Bannon.

Dunham posted the voicemail message to her Instagram page along with the phone number to Ryan's office, Mediaite reported. Dunham delivered the message while riding in the back of a car. A companion filmed her for the Instagram post.

"I'm not sure you're really going to listen to this, but I hope you do, because I want to let you know that as a woman, as a Jew, as a person who cares about other human beings, people of color, the idea of pointing an anti-Semitic white supremacist—" Dunham said before the voicemail machine cut her off and asked if she was satisfied with her message.

"No, I'm not actually satisfied with my recording," a frustrated Dunham said.

Dunham, along with many other high-profile actors and actresses, campaigned for Hillary Clinton during the election.
