MSNBC's Chris Matthews closed a segment Tuesday discussing Defense Secretary nominee Chuck Hagel by saying he thought Hagel was a "notch to my left, actually."
"I think he's Obama with a war record," Matthews said. "I think this guy is really the real Obama ... Although, I think Hagel's a notch to my left, actually."
